Dubai Summer Surprises spa packages offers over 50 spa experiences from 34 world-class spas

With the highest concentration of spas per capita in the world, and with three out of four spas classified as world-class by the 'Leading Hotels of the World Group' to be found in Dubai, the city is the undisputed Spa Capital of the Middle East.

For the fourth consecutive year, Spa Packages, a unique collaboration between DSS and several renowned spas in the city, is offering special packages and promotional prices that cover a wide range of spa experiences in Dubai, inspired by relaxing and rejuvenating treatments from all over the world.

From June 11 to August 14, 34 spas will offer over 50 special DSS spa experiences, including great discounts of up to 68% on selected premium products and services. Featured treatments draw on a wide range of therapeutic traditions from across the world such as Ayurveda, Tai Chi, aromatherapy, Oriental Hammam and traditional Swedish massage techniques, and include luxurious treatments inspired by royal rituals such as the 'Cleopatra Bath' - a pampering floral milk bath that promises to leave your skin as creamily soft as the famed Egyptian beauty, and the 'Royal Javanese Lulur Ritual' - a skin softening treatment administered to Balinese princesses 40 days before their wedding.

Khulood Al Thani, Marketing Director of DSF Office said:

'The participating spa establishments confirmed the tremendous success of the Spa Packages during DSS 2008 and we expect to match that level of interest this year with several indulgent new treatments and exciting discounts. We expect the DSS Spa Packages to go a long way in promoting Dubai as a world-class spa tourism destination.'

From 25 spas in DSS 2008, the number of participating outlets has risen to 34 spas in 2009, evidence of the positive response to the DSS Spa Packages concept. With participating spas spread all across the city from Deira to Jumeirah, Dubai Marina to Jebel Ali, finding the right treatment at the right price and the right neighborhood has never been easier - you can opt for a quick lunch-time escape like a facial or foot massage, or go all out and indulge in a whole afternoon of full-body pampering.

'Dubai's internationally acclaimed spa resorts offer visitors an unbeatable quality of service in the region. Apart from catering to the spa tourist segment, the DSF Office wishes to promote wellness and relaxation as major components of the 'Surprising Dubai' theme of DSS 2009,' added Al Thani.

The inclusion of spas in the DSS 2009 itinerary will be another draw card among the countless shopping, winning, and family entertainment options on offer during the 65-day summer fiesta.
